Small-space furniture FAQs

Straight answers about fit, materials, delivery, and choosing furniture for a real apartment.

What size nightstand fits a small bedroom?
For most small bedrooms, a nightstand 15–18 inches wide is ideal. It should be roughly the same height as your mattress top.
Do I need a nightstand with USB ports?
If your nearest wall outlet is more than 3 feet from the bed, yes. Our charging nightstand is one of the 5 small-space furniture pieces.
Can I use a side table as a nightstand?
Yes. A side table works as a nightstand as long as it is the right height. For tray styling ideas, see our ottoman tray decorating guide.
How many drawers should a nightstand have?
One or two drawers are enough for most people.
What is a C-table and how does it work as a nightstand?
A C-table has a C-shaped base that slides under the bed or sofa. It is especially useful in rooms where the bed is pushed against a wall.
